Inspired by The Guests ?? for the 11th Shanghai Biennale, with contributions by Nikos Papastergiadis, Rebecca Carson, Sarat Maharaj, Tess Maunder, Simon Roy Christensen, Liu Tian, Chang Tsong-zung, Raqs Media Collective, Masanao Abe, Nabuqi and The Guests.

Three new books in our edited series are now available - written by Wolfgang Ernst, Raqs Media Collective and Dexter Sinister. Another, by Knut Ebeling, will follow soon.

Jacob Lund has contributed an essay to "The Garden, End of Times, Beginning of Times", published on the occasion of the first ARoS Triennial, a new international contemporary art exhibition organised by ARoS Art Museum.

The Biennial Condition is the latest issue of Stages published by Liverpool Biennial, following the conference we co-organised in October 2016, and includes our glossary of key concepts.

We invite proposals for our conference The Contemporary Contemporary, June 16-18, 2017, at ARoS Aarhus Art Museum. Confirmed keynote speakers: Ina Blom (Oslo), Raqs Media Collective (New Delhi), Knut Ebeling (Berlin), and Peter Osborne (London). Proposals of papers and artistic contributions (such as screenings and performance-lectures) should be roughly 300 words (including a short bionote) and should be sent to contemporaneity@cc.au.dk. The deadline for submission of abstracts is January 31st, 2017.
